Accommodation and Facilities

Bymead House is comprised of 30 single rooms. These are made up of a mix of Nursing, Residential and Respite rooms. The rooms are spread over two floors which are easily accessed by a passenger lift.

All of our rooms are single, 27 have en-suite facilities and all are equipped with a nurse call system, telephone and television. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with small items of furniture, pictures and photographs etc. We have two newly refurbished wetrooms along with a further bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath. All bathing facilities are fully accessible for disabled residents.

Communal Areas
Each floor has its own communal living room with a dining area with beautiful views over the Marshwood Vale and some glimpses of the sea, where residents are welcome to sit and relax as well as join in with activities.

At the front of the house is a large conservatory. It is a lovely sunny, quiet area used by those who simply like to read or entertain family and friends to morning coffee, afternoon tea, or by prior arrangement, lunch.

Bymead has a large mature garden which is accessible by wheelchair. We have a newly developed patio area with flower beds at wheelchair height for residents who like to take in a spot of gardening.
