What life with us looks like

Families rarely make a care decision from one piece of information. These pages make it easy to understand the care, the environment and everyday life before you arrange a visit.

BN Care values

Care should still feel like your life

Bymead House provides nursing and residential care, including respite and palliative or end-of-life support. A Registered Nurse is on duty around the clock, and care is planned around each resident’s needs, preferences, routines and clinical requirements.

“The goal is not to fit a resident into a routine. It is to understand the person, then build care around what matters to them.”

Our shared approach across BN Care Group: kindness, independence, dignity, respect, privacy, choice and collaboration.

Bymead House is an excellent care home. My mother-in-law lived there for three contented years. The staff went out of their way to accommodate her many quirks and foibles and they could not have been more attentive during her final illness. The house itself is bright and airy, the staff always cheerful and welcoming, and there are many enriching activities on offer for those who choose to participate. Recommended.

My dad moved to this home a month ago. It felt like a homely environment from the moment I visited and I haven't been disappointed. Staff have welcomed dad into the Bymead family with open arms. They take time to care for his needs but also to find time to talk to him. Care staff, activity organiser, domestics, cooks, nurses and management are all fantastic and extremely friendly. Visitors are always made to feel welcome and any queries are always answered promptly.

As a frequent visitor I was able to observe the care provided at different times of the day/week. Always found all staff - including management - to be attentive and willing to offer assistance or information. On the rare occassions Sylvia was not happy or in pain, without fail, she was looked after, and made comfortable.
